Welcome to Aspen View Mental Health, where our mental health programs provide a deeper level of care than traditional outpatient therapy. We understand that navigating the world of mental illness, insurance, and recovery can feel overwhelming — like trying to find your way through an unfamiliar map. That’s why we’ve made our mental health program admission process simple, compassionate, and transparent. Whether you’re seeking help for yourself or a loved one, our admissions team will walk you through each step to ensure you feel informed and supported from the start.
Our mission is to help you focus on what truly matters: healing. From the first phone call to your first day in treatment, we handle the details so you can begin the path toward better mental health with confidence and ease.
Your journey begins with a simple step — reaching out. During this initial call, our admissions team will learn more about your current situation, symptoms, and goals for treatment. We’ll also explain the different programs we offer and help you determine which level of care (PHP, IOP, or outpatient) might best fit your needs.
Next, our billing team will collect your insurance information and verify your behavioral health benefits. In most cases, insurance covers a large portion — if not all — of our services. We’ll review your coverage details and clearly explain any potential out-of-pocket costs before you begin.
Once your benefits are confirmed, a licensed clinician will contact you to conduct a brief pre-assessment over the phone. This helps us better understand your mental health history, symptoms, and goals so we can match you with the most appropriate level of care.
We’ll work together to find a convenient time for your admission. Our team can help coordinate scheduling, transportation, and any final paperwork you may need before your first day.
When you arrive at our Greeley facility, you’ll meet your treatment team, complete a full psychiatric evaluation, and collaborate with your case manager to develop a personalized treatment plan. You’ll also meet other clients and begin familiarizing yourself with the daily structure of your program.
Once enrolled, you’ll have a structured schedule of therapy sessions — including individual, group, and family therapy. Attendance and participation are essential for progress and to maintain insurance coverage, so we encourage clients to fully engage in their sessions and daily treatment activities.
Think of a mental health program as a structured, immersive learning environment — similar to a school program — but focused entirely on your emotional wellness and recovery. Instead of classes, you’ll attend therapy sessions designed to help you understand your symptoms, build coping skills, and apply what you learn in real time.
Our programs combine evidence-based therapies, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), with holistic approaches like mindfulness and stress management. This multi-layered structure allows our clinicians to monitor your progress closely, adjust your treatment as needed, and provide consistent, hands-on support.
Participating in a program also gives you the chance to connect with others who understand what you’re going through. These relationships often become a vital part of the healing process, reminding you that you’re not alone — recovery is a journey best traveled with guidance, structure, and community.

At Aspen View Mental Health, we want finances to be the least stressful part of your journey toward better mental health. Our admissions and billing team will walk you through every step of the insurance and payment process, ensuring you understand your options before treatment begins. Whether you’re using insurance or paying privately, our goal is to make care accessible and transparent so you can focus on recovery — not paperwork.
We partner with most major insurance providers and can verify your benefits in minutes. However, we do not accept Colorado Medicaid (Health First Colorado) at this time. Below is a breakdown of the three most common ways our clients cover their treatment.
Some clients prefer to pay out-of-pocket for treatment. While this option means the full cost is covered directly by the client or family, it also comes with several advantages — including greater privacy, flexibility, and independence from insurance requirements. You’ll have full control over your treatment decisions without restrictions based on medical necessity or length of stay.
Our admissions team can provide a clear estimate of program costs before admission, and we’re always happy to discuss payment options or installment arrangements to make treatment attainable.
For many clients, insurance covers a portion of treatment while the remaining balance is billed to the client as a cost share — which may include a copay, coinsurance, or deductible. This is one of the most common arrangements for our mental health program admissions, as it allows you to receive high-quality care while minimizing out-of-pocket expenses.
Our internal billing and insurance team will handle the communication with your insurance company, confirm your coverage, and explain exactly what your financial responsibility will be before you begin. We believe in transparency and will never surprise you with hidden fees or unclear billing.
In some cases, clients have insurance plans that fully cover the cost of treatment. The extent of coverage depends on the quality and details of your insurance policy, including in-network benefits and medical necessity determinations.
Even when insurance covers the full cost, our billing specialists advocate for you by communicating directly with your provider to ensure claims are processed efficiently and without disruption to your care. We also help you and your family understand what your plan includes so you can make informed decisions about your treatment and aftercare options.
The night before your admission, take time to rest and prepare mentally for a new beginning. You’ll receive your start time, parking details, and what to bring from our admissions team ahead of time. Wear comfortable clothing and arrive a few minutes early so you can get settled.
When you arrive, our staff will greet you, guide you through check-in, and introduce you to your treatment team. From that moment forward, you’ll be surrounded by people who truly understand what you’re going through and want to see you succeed. We’ll walk beside you every step of the way.
At Aspen View Mental Health, we believe seeking help is a sign of strength — not weakness. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, or another mental health condition, our team is here to make the mental health program admission process as simple, compassionate, and personalized as possible.

Program length depends on your clinical needs and progress.
Your treatment team will help you transition between levels of care as you heal, ensuring you receive the right amount of structure and support at every step.
Please bring your photo ID, insurance card, current medications, and any relevant medical records. Comfortable clothing, a notebook, and a positive mindset are also encouraged.
We ask that you leave valuables, weapons, drugs, alcohol, and recording devices at home for safety and confidentiality. If you’re unsure about an item, our admissions team can provide a full checklist before your first day.
Your days at Aspen View are structured but supportive. You’ll attend a mix of individual therapy, group therapy, and skill-building sessions, all guided by licensed clinicians. Between sessions, you’ll have time for reflection, journaling, and light breaks.
Each day is designed to help you practice coping tools, improve emotional regulation, and build healthy routines that support long-term mental wellness.
Your privacy is our priority. Aspen View Mental Health follows HIPAA regulations to protect your personal and medical information at all times.
All conversations, therapy sessions, and records remain confidential. We understand that many adults are balancing work or family roles, so you can rest assured that your participation in treatment will remain private and secure.
Yes — many of our clients continue working or caring for family while attending treatment. Programs like PHP and IOP are designed with flexible scheduling that allows you to maintain important responsibilities while prioritizing your mental health.
If you need time away from work or school, our team can provide documentation for FMLA or temporary disability to help you take the time you need to recover without added stress.
Discharge doesn’t mean the end of your journey — it’s the next step forward. After completing your primary program, your clinician will create a personalized aftercare plan, which may include ongoing therapy, psychiatry, or transitioning to a lower level of care like IOP or OP.
We also offer continued support through alumni resources and referrals to community providers to ensure your progress continues long after your time with us.
Your safety comes first. Aspen View Mental Health maintains clear crisis and safety protocols for any emergency situation.
Our licensed clinicians are trained to respond quickly and compassionately to psychiatric or emotional crises. You’ll have access to 24/7 clinical support, and our team will ensure you receive the immediate help you need — whether that means extra sessions, medication evaluation, or a higher level of care if necessary.
